Hi Pool professionals,

I have a Pentair Prowler 920 cleaner stopped working and I am trying to figure out which part is malfunction. Below are some observations
  • Yesterday, the robot cleaner stopped working about 1 minutes after I turned it on and I was not able never turn it on after.
  • The light on the Power Supply looks normal and the weekly program button is also functional.
  • After turned on the power, the blue LED on the cleaner does not lit at all. The robot does not moving and the impeller does not start either
  • I have reconnect the connector between the power supply and the robot many times
  • After the power supply is switched on for 30 seconds, I measured the DC voltage out between two output poles which shows 29.1~29.2 V, however when the Power Supply is switched off( with the110V plugged in) , it reads ~28.5-28.7V
What could be the failing part, is it the Power Supply or the robot cleaner itself? Any help is appreciated.

Thank you very much,
Joshua

My gut says the power supply got "shorted out" somehow. With how it turned on then stopped it points to electrical.
Thanks for the reply, I did a lot of testing and troubleshooting and think I found the root cause. Looks like it was the cable swivel that interrupts the power to the cleaner, maybe the metal pole inside the swivel have gone bad.
