Looking for a little help or advice with the following. If anyone has some "inside" info or "big-dog" contacts over at Pentair, to help me resolve this issue, I would really appreciate your assistance.

So I have been attempting to register both a Pentair IntellipH and IntelliCenter online and meeting with poor results in both cases.

I have attempted to contact Pentair Marketing by leaving both a voicemail and also my emailing with no response from them.

Two different problems. Here is the email that I sent last week that explains the issues.

I called and left a message on Friday morning and asked if a representative would please give me a call, but no one returned my call.

I thought I might try this method in order to try to reach a Pentair marketing representative, who might be able to assist me.

I am attempting to register two Pentair items online and here are the problems that I am encountering.

1. Regarding my new IntellipH, I have tried to put in two different numbers that I found on the product, in the “Serial Number” block on the online form. Both of these numbers do not work. I cannot find a suitable serial number anywhere on either the box, on the IntellipH Canister or the IntellipH Controller Control Panel. The number on the canister is: 000059-05/11/18. The number on the Controller Control Panel is: 000005. Neither of these numbers work in the online registration. Where is the suitable serial number located?

2. Regarding the IntelliCenter. There is NO option in the online registration pages to select IntelliCenter registration. I do have what appears to be a valid Serial Number, but again, no option to select IntelliCenter ONLINE.

Can you please call me and please walk me through what I need to do, in order to accomplish an online registration for these two products. PLEASE….

Have you tried calling the tech support? The same number you would call if you had a warranty issue. Everytime I have called them they have more than helpful. The number I call is 800-831-7133

Thanks for the reply and yes, I called the same number that I use for tech support (805) 553-5000. But instead of using the tech support option in the menu, I used the marketing option.

I can try the 800 number that you suggested tomorrow. My guess though, is that both numbers will connect to the same overall menu driven system, but I'll sure give it a try.

UPDATE: I too, have been extremely pleased with Tech Support. TS is very helpful and professional. But I am having a "heck of a time" attempting to contact the Marketing folks that deal with product registration.

Thanks much. I'll first try the CUSTOMER SERVICE, AQUATICS & POOL (800) number that you and rphpool provided, and see if I can reach the right folks through that number.

If that doesn't work, I'll trying calling the (763) corporate office number that you provided and see if I can talk to someone "up the chain" with a little "horsepower", that can maybe "light-a-fire" under this Marketing Department to get them to help me with this issue.

This kind of thing sort of "ruffles my feathers" a bit when you think about the steep pricing of Pentair products and all and then they give little thought about providing the correct numbers on products for online registration or providing the option of online product registration for NEW products. Grrrrr. :grrrr: Someone at Pentair is "dropping-the-ball". :bball:

That does not seem to be a working website.

I got the link to the email address: [email protected], from https://www.pentairpartners.com/register/aboutpr.aspx. Apparently, marketing deals with rebates and product registration. Here is a screen shot. Notice the email link in the bottom right hand corner. When you click on that, it opens up your email client, etc.

I had issues registering my intellicenter—Pentair’s website said invalid serial number. I was finally successful by selecting easy touch (or intellitouch I cannot remember which one) and then entering my intellicenter serial number under the easy touch product. Once entered the correct description showed up for my intellicenter.

Cool. I tried that (selecting IntelliTouch) and then entering the IntelliCenter Personality Kit Serial Number. And "shazam" :party:, it worked. Who would of thought?

Yes, once I clicked on the ENTER button, it did in fact list the following: "IntelliCenter-Personality Kit I5PS, Shared Equipment" as the item registered. It still lists the IntelliTouch Control System up at the top of the "My Products" page (as illustrated below), but whatever. :p

And what is really weird, because I had the IntellipH listed on that same page, it registered it as well, but just with no serial number :confused:

Well, I left a message for the Director of Marketing this morning (after calling corporate and explaining the situation, they gave me his direct line) but still no returned call. If he does call, I guess, I'll just explain the issues that I encountered, how it was dealt with and let him sort it out if he so chooses.

I have not programed my Intellicenter; so, I do not have any complaints or compliments so far. I looked at your Intellicenter thread and the type of information you posted is very helpful. Unfortunately, when adopting new technology the early adopters are guinea pigs. I might have to hit you up for assistance programing/questions.

Greg, I got ya and no problem.

I am doing a couple of experiments presently, so I might have a couple of more items for the "PUNCH LIST" to comment on in the review, but I don't want to post anything yet, until I see exactly what is happening and get some further info from Pentair Tech Support. They involve "FREEZE PROTECTION" settings/warnings and the "VALVE DELAY (Pump Off During Valve Action)" setting. More to follow as I develop more info.

UPDATE:

So, I received a call from middle level management this morning regarding the convoluted product registration issues that I experienced. The gentleman was extremely cordial, friendly and really seemed genuinely interested in the issues and in getting them corrected in the future. I explained everything (to include no call back or email responses from Marketing). He took note and also stated to not worry about the serial number issue with the IntellipH. He said they would certainly honor the warranty if there was an issue with the unit.

He was a pleasure to speak with and I am once again "In Harmony" with Pentair. :p
