I have Freeze Protection turned on and it’s working, but have a few questions.

I have a pool and spa. I have a waterfall and 2 bubbler features.

I currently have Freeze Protection On for the Pool and Soa.

Do I need to turn it on for the Waterfall and Bubblers so they run when Freeze Protection is On, or will the Pool Fikter running protect them?

Also, do I need to turn on Freeze Protection for the Air Blower, Lights, High Speed and Jets for any reason, or does the Pool and Soa cover everything?

Lastly, do I need to do anything with all the Egg Timers?

Thanks!

I am assuming you only have a single pump running everything.

You want freeze protection running anything that might have standing water or still water in the pipes. The point of freeze protection is to keep the water moving to prevent it from freezing. So the waterfall and bubblers should be running on freeze protection, if they have not been winterized.

Air blower, lights, high speed, should not need freeze protection. I'm not sure about your Jets. What does the Jets circuit turn on?

Egg timers are ignored if freeze protection is running a circuit. Only need those if for say you wanted to turn on the waterfall and have it turn off after 4 hours (or however many) because you don't want to accidentally leave it on all night.

Thanks Jeff, great information.

Yes, single pump for both the pool and Spa.

I’ll turn it in for the bubblers and waterfall.

The Jets are for the Spa, but they are the high speed jets for your back. I “think” since I have the Spa on Freeze Protection, it probably covers the Jets, just doesn’t blow water out as fast constantly…Not entirely sure.

If you only have one pump, then the jets circuit must be a higher speed circuit for the spa jets when you want them full blast or something. You should be good with freeze protection on the pool and spa, and just adding in the waterfall and bubblers.

If you were going to be getting really cold for a while like below freezing for several days or a week, then bumping the speed up could help protect, but for general overnight cold temps, and back up above freezing during the daytime, your regular settings should be fine. No sense in wasting the electricity if you don't need to.

Attaching a file related to the weather report…Primarily worried about Monday-Wednesday next week. We have already had some weather like Sunday and everything was fine.
