Hello all: anxiously awaiting swim season here in New Jersey. I have an in-ground concrete pool that I need to have repainted/refinished. I am having difficulty finding a company that does this. Can anyone provide and recommendations? I am in north central New Jersey. Thanks!

If the pool was previously painted then you’ll need to have the surface chipped or blasted back to the gunite shell, repairs done on anything that needs it, and then plaster applied. A good quality replaster job will cost you upwards of $12k or more and you should get 15+ years out of it. Paint is cheap and you’d be luck to get 2 years out of it before it become chalky and falls apart. Another way to state what @Rocket J Squirrel said -

“QUALITY is never cheap and CHEAP is never quality”

I doubt you will find a reputable company to paint a pool now.

Many companies around to replaster a pool.

I am up in North Jersey and don't think anyone I know will go down your way. Keep your eye open for pool builds around you and when you see one and stop and talk to the trades working or the owner and find out who is doing their work. That is one of the best ways to find contractors who are in your local area.
