For several years, I’ve used the 60-120-180 minute override option via app to temporarily disable freeze protect on one or more of my pumps.

This year, I’m finding that when I override my spa pump (secondary single speed pump in this case), it remains disabled indefinitely (e.g. not just for 60 minutes). When I return to the app the next day, the freeze protect icon is still red (overridden) and I have to manually re-enable it!

MSP version is 5.0.2 (which was not the version last winter).

Anyone else experiencing this?

Update: Contacted Hayward support, and they were very quick to respond and investigate. After sending some logs, their engineering team created a beta firmware to test, which after installing appears to have fixed the issue! No information as to how broad this issue is or when the fix might be in a production release.

I am not familiar with freeze protect because we install pools up north. Even my Hayward rep has told me to disable freeze protection and flow monitoring because it can mess up schedules.

Thanks. It’s still happening repeatedly. I’ll try to contact Hayward. I’ve power cycled OmniLogic as well and also tried enabling the delay using the website but same result. Also looked through the xml config dump and the settings for freeze protect look ok.
