Omnilogic dead, can I use OmniPL retrofit kit?

Hi TFP,

My omnilogic main board and MSP/Display both will need to be replaced from a lightning storm this past weekend.

Looking at buying the main board and the msp/display will be around $1600-1900 depending on where I procure them from.
I was checking out the OmniPL, and this looks like it will meet my needs, I only have 8 breakers, 1 heater, 1 pump, two lights, very basic.

Watching some videos it looks like I can pull out all the old omnilogic parts, and replace with the omniPL kit.

For now, I'm manual on the pump timing and chlorination until I figure out what to do.

Any comments or am I off base here?

I think I answered my own question. No. The size of the retrofit kit is much smaller than the omnilogic.

The Hayward OmniPL Retrofit Kit is designed to convert the ProLogic, AquaLogic or AquaPlus systems, not the OmniLogic.

Have you considered replacing your entire OmniLogic panel with the OmniPL panel?

I have but the costs for new board(s) vs a new omnipl panel is more affordable. That is the route I'm headed down of replacing the boards. Thanks
