Hi. Reposting in hopefully right section. Looking for pictures of any finished pools with NPT Moraine or Aqua Blue Micro finish. Liking the micro for smoothness but thinking the Moraine may be a little green. Thanks!

Thanks Maddie!
Doesn’t look like any good pics posted for NPT Micro pebble Aqua Blue or Moraine. We are really looking to compare those 2 colors.
Hi. We are about 4 weeks on for interior finish. Did you ever get anymore information on NPT Micro pebble? Our PB said he can also do Pebble Tech. The micro appears to be be pebble fine. We liked the look of sapphire on the web. We would add some glass if it is micro glass beads. Do to shortages, we are unsure what will be available when we are ready. Thanks, Ellen M

You should add this to the finish viewing page since it’s not one that’s used often and hard to find pics of. Do you like the micro? We love how smooth ours is.
If time permits, please send pictures of yours too as the more we see the better. Please let us know what it interior you selected. Thanks, Ellen

This looks great! How much green is in the Moraine finish? In the pictures, I don't see green but assuming there must be some as Moraine lake is blue-green.
From certain angles and depths, the green undertones start to show. Pool is 5ft deep at the drains in the middle so the color would probably develop even more for folks with 6-12ft deep ends. It's probably worth sharing that Moraine plaster color comes from Quartzscape Barbados blue dye pack(s) along with the blue & turquoise colored glass beads that come with any micro pebble finish mix.

Just saw these pictures. Thank you so much for the time and attention to detail. It is very helpful to know about the Quartzscape Barbados blue dye pack(s) along with the blue & turquoise colored glass beads that come with any micro pebble finish mix. It's a full time job finding out which pebbles and glass beads create dark blue vs hues of green or lagoon look which we hope to avoid. Hope you swim a lot this summer, Ellen

Thank you so much for the additional details and pictures. This is really helpful. I know its subjective, but a few more questions...

1. Sounds like there's a hint of green at times, but mostly blue. Is that correct?
2. This is listed as a finish that creates dark blue water. In most of the pictures, this looks darker than the medium blue colors but not "super dark". Would you say this is on the "lighter side" of the dark blue water spectrum?
3. Would you characterize this as a lagoon color?

Thanks!

1. The photos I posted purposely have no filter applied and show the true color. Green undertones are only visible in certain conditions. During sunsets, the yellow certainly brings out a touch more green/lagoon feel. The Moraine isn't likely to make pool water the color of a bottle of Windex
2. Yes, but keep in mind the deepest part of pool is 5 feet (next to the two drains) so if you have a deeper pool, you can expect deeper blues
3. With a relatively shallow pool, it's tough to judge. Certainly there are finishes with deeper blues, and others with more green.

@Nikilyn has posted a lot of beautiful pictures of her build listed as "Micro Pebble Aqua White" but I believe it might actually be "Aqua Blue" since the plaster has blue dye in it and the base mix for White does not specify any pigment or dye in the mix (see attached pdf). Comparing our pics side by side should give an idea of the differences in water color one could expect if you're torn between blues.

Thanks for the compliment 😊. It is aqua white. The aqua blue is a bit darker and has black pebbles in it and ours doesn’t. Ours does have some white pebbles.

I just went to look for it and it’s not there anymore. The only one they showed on their website was aqua blue. I wonder if it’s because they are out of it or it was discontinued. It is shown in mini pebble and it’s the same color. I don’t quite understand their colors though because the people who did mine had a sample for one called Laguna but they didn’t have the Summit color. I would have thought it was a different brand but it had the Stonescapes sticker on it and was in the same box.

I had never considered Moraine Micro but the color looks incredible. Between the less textured / more sophisticated look of the steps where you’ll see the finish up close, to the more calming natural blue tone (vs windex blue), I might have found a new front runner for our finish which we should be doing in about 3 weeks on our new build. If you have a moment, a video would be incredibly helpful of the color and texture look with still water. Thank you so much!

Our plaster people came out last week and did some repairs on our plaster (a few rough spots smoothed and a chip repaired). I asked her about Aqua White micro not being available anymore and she said they just did one a couple of weeks ago and have done them all summer. Kind of funny how some people can get colors and others can’t.

Thinking of changing ours from mini midnight with abalone to micro in the moraine.

Do you think we should see a large spike in price? Do we keep the abalone?

Not sure how they priced ours before for the mini. Yet I would think since this uses the glass beads. It should be about equal?
