He added Pool RX Friday clean backed filter Saturday and then added Algaecide he said he has been using these products for years.
Water is not cloudy, no algae in site
Taylor test
FC=7.5
TC=7.5
B=15
PH=9
TA120
CYA= unknown due to out of product but used strip indicates 50 at test Thursday at 80 (normal)
I don't know what to attack first...
MA, then stabilizer?

Have enough of all reagents on hand to properly test your pool water.
You need accurate CYA level - and test strips won't do that.

You need tto decide who will be maintaining the pool and if you are going to follow the TFP methodology.
Once you determine that, you need to set the rules on what is allowed to be added and what is NOT allowed to be added. You and your SO need to be on the same page.

Magic potions and algaecide are not going to keep your pool trouble free. And mixing the TFP methods with the stuff your SO added will eventually lead to failure.

Fill out your signature with pool, all pool equipment (including manufacturers and model numbers) and test kit info.
This assists us in providing you help without needing to ask you each time for this important information.

Ok will dig up more info.. Usually its me a pool math. Right now off to find CYA reagents.

PoolRX adds silver, copper, and zinc to your pool, which prevents algae but will eventually cause staining of the pool surfaces, hair, and skin. It's really the worst way to prevent algae and the only reason it continues to get pushed by pool stores is because it's so cheap to make and sell at a premium.

Ok..done all the reading on Pool RX & Algaecide which he has been using for years but not required all the time along with Algaecide>>Done with that!

My salt cell is from 2019 when it goes out it alerts us and we replace. I has not, but I have been adding chlorine for the last 2 week which I have never done.
when I boost the cell I'm not getting the reading I expect prior to me adding chlorine.
Next will have husband check the hours. He also is the one that has been maintaining the filters.

Pool runs 8 hrs edge runs 1 hour daily -when more than 2 people is pool edge run approx 4-5 hours...which is more often lately

Small amount of Algae in the basin of infinity edge today not in the pool
Today readings;
FC= 5 >pool math indicates I should bump up to 6 ==add chlorine 1 qt 2cps 2oz
TC=7.5
B= 10
PH=8 >need to add 1.15 quart of MA 31%
TA=120
CYA=80
CH=400
I have added nothing today yet

If you see algae in the basin then you have algae in the pool water.

You need to follow the SLAM Process to get your pool algae free.
