New Pool Design Opinions and Advice

First Post: Have been reading and learning here for a while. Have been working on a pool spa design. Appreciate any thoughts comments or advice from the experts.

Details. (Summarized from Proposal)
  • Size: 35' X 22'3". Depth: 3'6" to 6". Perimeter 111'. Gallons: 24,000
  • Negative edge. Glass tile to fire pit (no mesh).
  • Two 18" Baja depth tan decks.
  • 1 6" Tan deck
  • 12" raise firepit at negative edge.
  • Gunite. 1/2" #4 rebar on 8" x 8" grid
  • 40 PVC plumbing. Hand dug with only 45 and 90 degree bends. (no pex)
  • Paramount PV3 Full in floor cleaning system
  • 6" negative edge spa with Level 4 glass tile. 6' x 6' loop hydraulic plumbing with 2.5" returns
  • 1500 sq feet of Turkish travertine.
  • Alunimun Skimmer lids
  • 7 Jandy LED underwater color changing lights
  • Wet Edge prism matrix plaster
  • 13 helical piers and Chemical injection for expansive clay.
  • 256 sq ft Kitchen / patio cover
  • 13' outdoor kitchen with 36' grill, refrige, drawers and doors
  • Jandy JE Heat pump and Chiller. (JE300TR) for pool.
  • Jandy JX1400 BTU heater dedicated to spa
  • Jandy IQ904 i-Aqualink 2.0 wed controller
  • Jandy 2.0 hp "pumps" One for pool and one for negative edge
  • Jandy Pro Edge 60 sq ft DE filter or Jandy 460 Cartridge filter
  • Jandy 1.5 hp blower pump for spa
  • Nature 2 Fusion sanitizer
  • 4 underwater speakers
  • Allot of misc like umbrella sleeves, planters, swim tether system, etc.

We have not selected the plaster, travertine or glass tile colors at this point.

Appreciate any thoughts and recommendations.

Looks like a great fun zone for all...lots of cool equipment and I would look at 2 speed pumps or VSP and SWG! Underwater speakers sound really cool but do your research. In floor cleaning systems are big in Arizona and Nevada ares but be careful what you plant around the pool. Overall a very cool design and high end so I look forward to following this one...
 
Might want to consider making your siting shelf on sides of spa big enough for 2 chairs on each side so if your outdoor with someone and lounging you can be next to each other vs yelling across spa

I agree - doesn't need to be symmetrical so maybe move the spa over and combine the 2 sitting spots into one.
 
Oh so pretty! I would love to see the yard it will be going in!

I agree with the comments about about shelf sizes and the cut/triangle step to the fire pit.

I would ditch the Nature 2 Fusion sanitizer. Do a search in the white box at the top of this page to get many details on why.
