New Pool Build - Conroe, TX - LOTS of pics! Come say hi Y'all.

We had our PB do it on purpose. I'm 6' 4" and I wanted to have more of my body covered when I'm in the spa. So one section is a bit more typical and my section is a little deeper. They also adjusted the jets some as well.

I wish our hot tub had all of seats a lot lower and was a lot bigger. I am 6'4 and mine is to shallow. My oldest boy is 6'7 and sticks way out of the hot tub.

WE are short - 5'4" on a good day and 5'8" but I would love to have a giant spa - but I didn't want to pay to heat all the extra water when it will be just he and I 90% of the time

The color of your water is BEAUTIFUL!!! I love it!!!

We are in a holding pattern here - my yard is so muddy the plumbing and electrical can't even do anything. I secretly want it to wait till I get back from my cruise before they do any more - but the hubs has already made a comment about him being capable to make decisions when I am not here - and that I don't trust him :thequeen:

So I am keeping my mouth shut and if they work while I am away - I will survive. This rain is crazy. I keep seeing friends post about their homes and property flooding. Thank goodness we are high and dry - but still - it is sooo muddy.

I thought you guys might enjoy this. This was the night of the dig - we had lots of rain and the frogs thought we were building them a pond. It was so creepy - you could hear them even when you were inside the house with the doors closed and the AC on. It was an invasion . . .

We back up to a golf course which had a big pond on it. We get all sorts of frogs, turtles, ducks and snakes in our yard. They really think our pool is their own awesome retreat. The best is the frogs that are super loud at night right by our window. I have had to do relocation missions on many occasions.

Sun:

We have Blue Granite Pebble Sheen, and we love how it sparkles in the sun and has great color of water. I don't think you will regret the choice at all. I should tell you, I wrestled with the decision too, and worried about choosing a color too dark, too light, too turquoise, too green, too windexy blue, to anything. I looked at a lot of pools here on this site, and out on GardenWeb, and basically so many galleries from PB's. I kept coming back to Blue Granite, and with the tile you have already chosen, Blue Granite is going to look rich. Now take a deep breath, and go enjoy your cruise. The rain will surely be gone by the time you return, and it will be POOL time!

We have a pond on our property and the frogs love it. We also have a family of otters that like to come play in our pond! Mom has become so used to us she does not run off with the babies when we sit on the bench to watch them.

Husbands and decisions------yeah they can make them BUT will they be the right ones?????????? LOL I am proud of you for trying to let him take care of it IF needed.

Kim

Yeah - the pool is filling up quite nicely. Too bad it isn't finished and saving me on the water bill!

Hope you don't get the weather we had.
It stormed on and off everyday leading up to plaster delaying when they could get to us.
First day they setup for plaster and a line of storm cells hit us and put a foot of water in the pool.
(Their other crews in Conroe, Tomball and Splendora were under sunny skies)
Second day they managed to get it in ahead of a minor shower.
Started clearing the next day for acid washed the pebblesheen.
Then it stopped for a few days so we could fill our pool from the hose.

I'm not complaining! I was shocked that there was so much water in it though. PB said weather permitting they are starting tile/coping/rocks tomorrow- but it's still pouring so I'm thinking it can't happen. They will pump it out tomorrow if they are doing tile or they will send someone out before the weekend to make sure we don't start a mosquito conservation.

The plumbers are here! Y'all were spot on - I did NOT know mess and mud until now! I can't believe they dig all these trenches by hand. So much work.

On another note, one of my MinPin babies is at the Vet - possible obstruction. Looking at surgery today or tomorrow - please say a prayer for my lil Zoe. She has been sick for about a week.
