Hi everyone! We are just constructing a plunge pool on an out island in the Bahamas. Square pool- 9x9x4 ft deep. - concrete with diamondbrite still to be installed. There is a need to keep things simple and easy to maintain because of the location! We are getting ready to order a pump and other parts we need. Looking for recommendations. Also - thoughts about swg vs chlorine. We also just realized we would like a bench in the pool but didn’t install yet. I’d love ideas about a way to put a bench on one wall. Many thanks!

For your pump and parts, do you intend to buy it locally or from companies in the USA and have it shipped to you? Knowing that will help narrow down the vendors and equipment for you.
Since you will be installing the equipment much equipment warranties will be very limited.

This is the pump we are considering, but we would love input. The pool size is actually 11.5x11.5x3.5. I’ve attached a pool pic too. 
We will be buying our pump from the states and shipping it. Costs in The Bahamas are shocking for pool pumps.

To put a bench in the pool after shotcrete you need to form the bench with rebar that is epoxied into holes drilled into the existing shell. Then have shotcrete form the bench over the rebar. That will create one structure for plaster and no cracks should occur around the bench.
The pump looks fine. How will you control the 2 speeds of the pump?

No spa jets. Thanks for the input on the bench! I believe a switch is in the works for the two speeds. We are also wondering if it might be better to add the bench after, either as pool furniture or a shelf attached to the sides.

Thank you. Any recommendations for a simple, reliable SWG chlorinator? I thought the filter was included with this pump. Sorry for so many questions! I do all the testing and balancing of our spa , but the mechanical side is not my strong suit.

We are building a pool in the out islands of the Bahamas. The size is 11.5x11.5x3.5. Trying to keep everything easy and reliable as parts and experts are not easy to come by. Which cartridge filter would you recommend? (If not these, I am open to something else!)
