We just had our pool plastered on Tuesday and we were wondering when it is okay to add Chlorine to the pool? We are taking the water to the pool store today to get tested, but is it too soon to start adding chemicals, or is there a need to wait longer? Thanks

Thanks. The builder just provided "Pool Chemicals In the first month: Once pool is started up begin taking weekly water samples to your local pool supply store and follow their recommendations and/or follow pool maintenance company recommendations."

So TFP is all about teaching you how and why to test. Pool Store testing and advice is simply unreliable. If you have already been there, you should return anything you purchased and start over using TFP advice.
