My Pool - Re-Tile - Replaster - Re-Grout

I am having quartzscapes installed for the plaster, getting the tile replaced and regrouting and repairing the coping for a Grand total of $13,360.

They are draining the pool as we speak. There is crew of 6 or 7 ready for the chipout which is expected to last through tomorrow.

They will then re-tile regrout the next day and plaster the following day.

He stated to fill the pool immediately adding shock and balancing the water and wait 4 weeks before going to the saltwater conversion.

Are you sure they’re chipping out all of the old plaster for that price? Seems like really good deal if so.

Generally chlorine is not supposed to be added for at least a few days after plaster install. You might get instructions in writing from the quartz supplier.

He is taking it down to the Gunnite. As far as the price, I don't live in an exceptional area of the city and I find I often get better deals than family and friends who live uptown. I printed out the NPC Start Up Procedures - It says to wait 48 hrs for the chlorine. Googling provided no specific guidance on quartzscapes product.

Check your light and any other fixtures that are underwater and make sure none got damaged in the process. Ask me how I know to check now.

They are replacing the light already, not too much else to check. Day 2 results

I understand your on a budget, but all that work on the pool, and your leaving the old concrete decking? What's the plan for that?

I havent figured that out yet. I might get a concrete saw and straightin up the lines and poor patches at the cracks with an epansion joint. Also im partial to outdoor carpets. so....
