I'm definitely having a lot more bees this year in my pool. We always get wasps (mud daubers) at the pool and have usually found that they're building a nest somewhere nearby. If you can follow them when they take-off from the pool, you might see where they go and then find the nest. You have to get rid of the wasp nest to get rid of the wasps. Once they find your pool, they will just keep coming back. There is nothing you can add to the pool water that will deter them.
