Marble Pavers

Hi,

We are just about to finish our pool build thank God and the Mason is finishing up our pavers. We have about 1700 SF of sandblasted marble pavers in the French pattern design. I was reading that marble should be sealed to preserve it and prevent staining. I got a quote from the company who we got the marble from and it was $5000. Not only that, but they recommend it being resealed every 3 to 5 years. Due to the high expense of sealing, my wife and I are thinking about not doing any sealing at all? Is this a big mistake? Would we be OK without sealing them? Thank you.

Just get a good product and do it yourself with a sponge or sprayer.
Unless they are doing something special, 5K seems steep to wipe it with a liquid.

Yes, marble is very porous, so if you want the help it sealing is ideal.
