Can I use this transformer on amazon to controll about 60w of low voltage lighting that I intend to run along my fence to light the pool? I bought 12 - 5 watt 12 volt low voltage lights that I intend to control with the omnilogic panel. My question is... will this work. It seems silly to buy a large transformer to do the same thing this one will do. I look forward to hearing from everyone.

If the fence is within 5 feet of the pool then NEC requires you to use a pool rated low voltage transformer.

If the fence is more then 5 feet away you can use any transformer that meets the light requirements.

BV,

Most low voltage lights are AC not DC.. Your link is not to a transformer, but a low voltage DC power supply.

What lights do you have?

How far is the fence from your pool water?

Thanks,

Jim R.

UPDATE: These are the lights I am connecting. They say 12-24v AC/DC. Will this work?

I currently have them running on a low voltage landscaping transformer but I do want to control them from omni panel. LIGHTS

BV,

The key is how far is the fence from the pool.

If the lights are more than five feet away, then why not continue to use the landscape transformer. That is what I do, and it is controlled by my EasyTouch.

Thanks,

Jim R.
