The Pool
My pool light niche is missing the screw hole for the light to attach to. Just moved into the house and the light floated up the other day while others were swimming.
The light looks like a pretty generic Pentair Amerlight.

Am I looking at a minor drain and niche trim ring replacement?

Ah, It binds to the stripped out light screw hole, I don't even have that. I don't had the tab at the bottom either, Looking at niche kits, all of this should be on one of the rings locking the liner in. Its like they forgot to put that piece in when they replaced the liner.

My trim ring doesn't have the notch or the screw hole. It isn't even pretty, it actually looks red and made of steel but not stainless.

Get two light wedges and put one at the top and another at the bottom.

I had the same problem with my old pool light. The screw hole on the liner ring just fell apart. The wedge kit didn't work for my light because the light is not "megaphone" shaped, more squared off. So I ordered this item

And just finished installing it (seriously I'm on post-victory beer #3!!!!). It works!!!
