First time pool owner - we moved in 3 weeks ago, my pump died(replaced a week later), and successfully performed my first shock after some algae crept in while the pump was down.
I feel like I'm getting a good handle on my chemistry(testing daily with my TF-PRO kit). I've been using liquid chlorine, PH Up/Down, stabilizer and baking soda to manage my levels.
I'm learning I should shock the pool every week or two. The previous owner left behind a bunch of pool store chemical supplies that I've largely learned to not use. But as I'm dialing in the least expensive way to manage the chemistry, I saw this dry shock treatment they left behind and wondering if it's usable. It seems to be super concentrated - does anyone have experience with this/how I use this to shock?
Now that my pool is nice and clear and I have a handle on what I'm doing, I don't want to mess up my flow but I'd like to use it to save money/not waste it if possible.
Thanks much.
