We just finished our pool build and filled it with water! I am so excited. So many decisions and hoping this is one of the last ones. We are not sure what to buy vaccum/ robot wise. We have a salt water pool with Primera stone polished finished, in floor clean long but did add a designated line. We have a big tree in our yard so know we will have daily leaves. Any recommendations on what to get?

What brand IFCS do you have?
Why not try with the IFCS to see how it does. Chances are you can just use a regular vacuum head/hose when needed. The IFCS should get most of the debris that sinks to the bottom.
Use hairnets in the skimmer basket to help catch all the leaves, pollen, dust floating on the surface.

What kind of big tree? Hard to tell from the pics.

The tree is actually not pictured, it’s a sisoo. Paramount in floor. I was just trying to avoid a pool service and have as little maintenance as possible.

Sisso? - cut it down now - and properly kill the roots as well.
Sissoo trees have one of the most invasive roots systems of any tree in our area. It will get in sewer lines, push up concrete walkways and block walls, compromise house foundarions and could compromise your pool structure.

A Sissoo tree get massive (50 feet wide) and has an extensive root system. They are fine for large park and retention areas, but not at all good for our small lots. Even if you trim what you see above ground, the root system will continue to spread.

We had three of them. Our entire yard was roots. We took at two but my husband is refusing to take out the last because it’s the only shade we will have. I’m very nervous about it.

Your best bet is to remove the Sissoo ASAP and plant something better suited to your yard.
You and your neighbors won't be sorry.
The longer you wait, the more expensive to remove and fix any damage it does.
The sooner you plant something more appropriate for the surrounding conditions, the sooner it will provide
adequate shade.

Red Push Pistache
Fruitless Olive
Lots of other trees much better suited for a lot with a house, block wall, close neighbors and pool.
Trees, no matter the type, will lose leaves - either a little all year long or a lot all at once.

No matter what you ultimately decide, see how well the IFCS does before buying a suction side cleaner or a robot.
