Jandy Stealth Pro Pump issue

My Jandy Stealth Pro Pump 2.0 HP already has issues in less than 2 yrs. The diffuser broke loose from the backplate and caused damage to the basket because of 2 little screws.

Anybody got a simple fix for this?

As I now see, its the same issue as your previous response from last November. Will try same remedy you suggested then. Also, is it possible to drill all the way through the backplate to secure a nut and lockwasher on the other side? I would expect to use a longer screw and some silicone caulk to prevent leaks.
Wow, what a disappointment in Jandy on such a small detail.

Diffuser & Backing Plate

I'm replacing my Jandy Stealth pump motor. When I disassembled, the diffuser was not attached to the backing plate. As you can see from the pictures, one of the screws is sheered off and the other one is missing. The plate and the diffuser are not cracked or warped. None of the local stores...
