We have a Jandy handheld remote and Jandy heater. We are able to turn the heater on from the remote but it’s defaulting to the temp set at the heater and not on the remote. This was confirmed with an independent thermometer tonight in spa mode, I’m assuming the same happens in pool mode. Any idea how to fix that?

See Section 4.4 in your heater manual at https://cdn.fluidrausa.com/-/media/...?rev=3ca34b4ae47942d0b9f417cde11a565d?force=1

There are a few different ways to have your Aqualink control the heater. We need to know which way it is wired to suggest what may be happening.

What temperature is set in your remote?

What temperature is the spa heating to?

What is displayed on the heater control panel?

How old is the heater?

Are you sure heater said it was SET to 102 or that the heater was displaying the water temperature of 102?

Show us pictures of the remote display and heater display when that happens.

We need to know how the heater remote control is wired to the Aqualink.

Your heater should be under warranty if you feel this is a serious problem.

The heater should be set to 104, its highest setting, and allow the Jandy to turn it on and off and control temperature.
The heater senses temperature in a different spot (internally) than the Jandy (an in-line temp sensor), so the readings may not match depending on location.
What Jandy system are you using? There is usually a way to calibrate the temperature reading so that it will be more correct.
