Jandy LXi Hot Surface Igniter Replacement

Hello! I have a three part question...

1. confirm this igniter has seen it's days and needs replacement? see pic. The heater will go through its start up routine and then get ignition fault error and then I get three LED blinks on the control panel.

Second question...
2. I have a Jandy LXi and when I search online for a replacement igniter, I find this for $183 CAD

They look virtually the same in the images, are they in fact the same? Can I buy the JXi unit? Is the LXi unit a gouge because it's older?

Third question...
3. If i do indeed need the LXi, does anyone have any advice on the best place to obtain for cost? I posted once about relays and someone recommended an OEM relay for half the price...

Both ignitors should be the same. It seems that the higher priced "ignitor"? also includes a gasket kit for the burner box which may be indicated in the price.

Most spiral type silicon carbide ignitors are roughly the same with the exception of the ceramic mounting base. You might be able to find a lower cost ignitor as long as the ceramic mounting base is the same.
