I’m having issues with a brand new Jandy JXi 400 heater. It’s under warranty, but my PB cannot be trusted at this point so I’m going through the process of finding someone else that can come work on it.
In the meantime, I’m trying to figure out what’s going on, both for my own education and so I don’t get taken advantage of by new folks.
When I run the heater, the spa gets to about 92° then shuts down and gives me an error “check IGN steps.” I also see that water is leaking from the heater because the concrete pad is wet on the side opposite where the gas is connected when the heater runs.
For the IGN error, one of the possible solutions in the troubleshooting section of the manual is gas flow, which got me poking around. I’m wondering (for starters) if the line that connects the propane from the house line to the heater is too small.

Thanks.
