Update and for those that find this thread via searches...
I was able to find new "Jandy 4724 2-Port 1-1/2 to 2-Inch Positive Seal NeverLube Valve" (complete) for $20-25 each (shipped) on eBay. Since my pipes are 1.5", I have the old gray Jandy 3-way 1-1/2 to 2-inch valves. In the end, instead of swapping everything except the 2-port housing, I only swapped the Diverter + (3) o-rings. Points of interest:
(1) The screws are different. The threads of the screws in the new valves are wider (less threads) and the old valve had tighter (more threads).
(2) I did not replace the Top cover lids because the 2-port stops points and inlet labels would be at different positions than my 3-port.
(3) The bottom of the diverter (where it fits into the shaft) was rough and not smooth, like it was the injection point for a mold. This was the case for 5 of the 6, valves that I picked up from eBay. Only one was smooth like all of my original valves.
(4) To cap off the grease cup. You can pick up 1/8" NTP/MNPT/NPTM brass plugs at
Lowes or
Home Depot (or other hardware store). They are not in the plumbing or hardware section. These two sections only contain 1/4" or larger fittings. Instead you will find what you want in the water filter (?) section where they have smaller metal and plastic fittings. In Jan 2019, these brass caps are $2.80/each at the big box store. You can find them cheaper from China on eBay. I could not find any 'plastic' plugs at the big box stores.
(5) You can also find five (5) brass
1/8" NTP Internal Hex Thread Pipe Plug (countersunk) for $1.34 (Jan 2019) on eBay. These, once installed, will be flush with the Jandy Housing. You can find also stainless steel (or "bar", 304, NSF), aluminum, zinc plated, nylon, poly, Polypropylene, abs, HDPE, anodized, or malleable steel plugs as well -- but most will be more expensive unless purchased in large qty. -- NOTE: beware of scammers and counterfeiters, especially from China sellers.
