Is this black algea? and best way to get ride of it please

Please see pictures. I have been very sick for two and half weeks, and the pool developed this type of algea everywhere on the bottom, especially around corners. I tried brushing with nylon and stainless steel brushes, and neither worked (stainless steel took away the very light surface).
I am suspecting that this is black algea, and with this much to clean, what might be the best way to get it done please?

I might need to buy accessories for the cleaning, so meanwhile should I keep the pool shocked at a higher chlorine value than normal?

This looks truly horrible. Appreciate all the help!

Black algae is normally little black dots that attach to your plaster. This looks like regular algae although it could be since it did not brush away.
You will need to use the SLAM Process. Read it thoroughly. You have the K-2006 kit so use that to maintain the FC at SLAM level.
What is your CYA level?
Can you post a full set of test results?

Maybe @PoolStored has some additional advice for black algae.

Thanks HermanTX! The reason I suspect that it is black algae is that I cannot brush or scrub them off, even with stainless steel brush head. That has never happened before.
I have been shocking the pool with liquid chlorine and it has little effect on the algae.
I will post the test result here soon. Thanks for your response!

Do the SLAM process referred to above. We don’t do shocking here. 😉

With black algae on the sides and bottom, the best method is to use a power washer (lower pressure the better, and wider tip, starting far away from the spots and moving in until it starts to blow the algae away). Then get a pressure spray pump, fill with the strongest liquid chlorine you can find and spray the areas with the LC with the pool pump off.

You will then need to run your FC at 20% of your CYA for several weeks.

Either way, as a result of having BA, after the few weeks of FC at 20%, you probably need to run FC at 15% of CYA for life of this plaster.

Just wanna post a follow up, so other people may benefit from it in the future.
I used a method posted on youtube. Crash up bleach tablets into smaller pieces (not too fine to a powder form), and spread them on the algea. Warning!!!: move them around with a brush every 30 minutes, and scoop them after five to six hours, dont leave them overnight otherwise they will leave slightly white marks on concrete (yes, I had that happen).
Now I will keep up with the SLAM process, and hopefully never encounter it again.
Appreciate all the help here!
