Is this a superflo vs or whisperflo vs drive?

Yes there are two O-rings. One is between the white PVC pipe and the larger union ring at the top. The second one is a black O-ring that you can see on the bottom of the picture between the male threads and the wider lip above it.

I applied silicone grease to both. Both are brand new and don’t look damaged.

I did… nothing on the pump side or the union side. Look pretty clean.

I guess I could try another union? Or possibly using some kinda silicone sealant around the threads?

Usually, the O-ring should seal if you get it hand tight.

I would use Teflon tape and a sealant on the threads in addition to the O-ring.

Don't let the Teflon tape interfere with the O-ring.

I’ll try that. Went to a local pool store and he gave me a sch 80 tapered male end and a 2” union to try if that doesn’t work.

He also said that I can try and push the o ring down into the grove to make sure it’s compressed

Will report back. Thanks for the help.

That did the trick! I put some sealant on the threads and tightened it until I saw the O-ring flatten. Also put some more silicone grease on the O-ring.

No more leak!
