I have a 2800 gph intex sand filter pump (purchased in 2020). The buttons and the display quit working. I had to unplug it to turn it off and then when I plugged it back in, it beeps at me but does not come on. There are no lights on the display and none of the buttons work (power, lock, timer). I found a way to turn it on thanks to a post on facebook, but the buttons and display still don't work. I looked on the Intex site and don't see an option for just buying the computer board for it, I'd have to but the entire box for $145 plus shipping.
Does anyone have any experience with this? It's friday evening so Intex customer support is closed for the weekend.

Sorry, I have no experience with that particular problem. Unless someone else pops in, you may have to wait until Monday to call Intex.

I don’t recall how long the warranty is on those pumps, but hopefully you are still under warranty.

I'm interested in what you hear back from Intex. The 1,050 gph pump that came with our Intex Ultra XTR has a similar issue this summer, it's second season. The pump works and the display works, but none of the buttons work. Thankfully, it's stuck on a 12-hour cycle, so it still works. But if I want to shut the pump off for any reason, I have to unplug and plug back in, which then restarts the 12-hour cycle. I just bought a new 2,650 Intex pump/sand filter/SWG as I wanted to upsize and gain the SWG, but it would be good to know if the old pump can be fixed. It's still within the 2-year warranty period, but tracking down the receipt might be tough!

If you bought it from Walmart or anywhere else online really the purchase information should be on your account. May be able to find it on cc statement as well.
At Walmart they even show in store purchases in your history so long as you purchased with the same card that’s linked to your account.
Hope this helps! I have had to track down some myself. Now I save to google drive!

Per Intex, I have to replace the motor/control box ($145 plus shipping) as there's no computer board replacement. For now I'm turning it off by pressing the red button on the plug and then restarting it by holding down the power button on the pump and pressing the red button on the plug at the same time. Not ideal, but it works for now. I found someone on facebook that was having the exact same problem and she said eventually the buttons and display starting working again on her unit, so I'm hopeful that happens with mine!

Hi - Funny enough (or not so funny) this evening I have come online to seek help with the exact same situation with the same Intex 2800 GBH Pump. Everything I have seen thus far has said the only way to put it back to how it was when we purchased it is to buy a new motor but that is very expensive (heck, this was expensive to start with!). We purchased ours 2 years and 8 months ago so we are outside of our warranty. Couldnt come at a worse time as we leave for vacation tomorrow. Good luck to you and if you have found a solution, I would be ever so grateful if you could let me know with many thanks.

Sorry about your unit!
Before you go on vacation be sure to raise your fc to slam level for your cya with liquid chlorine so you don’t return to a swamp
FC/CYA Levels
You can pour it in very slowly & brush it around even if the pump doesn’t work.
If you also have a cover you could deploy that would help preserve your chlorine as well as help keep debris out.

Well, last week I went out and pushed the power button and it worked!! The display still doesn’t work but at least now I don’t have to unplug it/plug it back in and hold down buttons to get it to turn on!
