I need a new liner for our pool. I can get the standard one from Intex for $200. My question is, is there any other manufacturer of pool liners that make the liner that goes with this pool? Am I stuck with Intex itself?

* also, on a sidenote, we are re-doing our ground work for the pool to sit on. Sand, leveled, and someone suggested that we gee the foam insulation sheets and put that directly under the pool. Ideas?

JJ, insulation sheets or other products such as Gorilla Pads have been used by others as well to absorb some of the floor shock, protect the liner, and just give you a more comfortable feel in the pool. I suspect others will reply with more ideas. While I've not had to replace a liner myself, I do know that Coleman and Intext products are very similar in design and interchangeable in many areas. Keep posting here and letting us know how your search is going. The more you post, I suspsect the more views you'll get and other above-groud pool owners will reply. Good luck!

Thank you. We haven't looked into Coleman, but will do that. Thanks for the info on the insulation. Now I'm trying to decide on salt vs chlorine pool. We had a salt pool last year, but have a lot of calcium and I was cleaning the electrodes every 5 days. Pain!

Many TFP members who are in teh same boat as you maintain their SWG pool by keeping the CSI on a slightly negative level. If you're not familiar with CSI, you can read our Calcium Saturation Index (CSI) page for more info. It can help tremendously.
