I wonder what this stuff is?

I wonder if this is some sort of ash? I seem to get it a few times a year. I dont really keep track of when. I seem to recall a burning smell in the last few days no idea if it is related.

It looks white while floating on the pool. Hard to take a picture of it in the water.

Anyway the Betta’s do a pretty good job of picking it up. The Aiper I think got the rest. Probably going to rinse out my filter today too.

I wonder if its a result of the sugar cane fields getting burned west of us? I pressure-washed my patio and, a few days later, the air was visibly smoky and smelled like something was burning (it was the sugar cane fields). The little bit of rain I got afterward made the deck look like it was filthy.

Yes it stopped. It happens a few times a year for a day or so. I need to record exactly when.
