I hate my robot - dirt problem

Also, note that there is a plastic/rubber flap between the inside of the robot and the front or back of the roller brush. If that flap is defective, it can release debris from inside the robot. I don't want to knot on Maytronics designs, but the S series is not great. Both my sister and brother have other Maytronics (natalius), and they swear by how great it works in their pool. I believe them, but in my pool, when I pull the robot out, I do see debris come out from the bottom, and about a minute or so, I do see the debris settle to the bottom of the pool at that location. If I'm up for it, I run the riptide with a 60 or 25 microns, and it's as clean as whistle.

The Krauly pentair I had at my other pool can be pulled out with the robot running or the debris bag tilted so that no debris comes out of the bag. The same goes for the riptide. What I think is happening with the S Series is that there are debris between the filter box and the inside of the robot. While the filter box has fine debris and a few larger ones, there are definitely larger and smaller debris inside the robot that falls out when you pick it out of the pool. Nothing you can do about it if all parts are working as intended.

When you remove the robot do you keep it level? This should help, the water drains slower out of the robot but doesn't release the debris. I put one side of the track on the coping while it drains. You need to lift it out from both ends and try to keep it level as best as you can.

When you pull these robots out by the handle only, it tilts them too much and lets too much of the debris flow out.
I tried this today, and it was hard for me to hold it like that, so it was slow and tons of debris came out as I was holding it level in the water trying to lift it out. I will say nothing came out as it drained, but maybe it already all came out. lol
