Seems like that should be a simple operation except on my control panel the "+" button is dead. I've been working around it by using the "-" button to go completely around to do settings which is a real pain but hadn't got to the point of doing something about it. Today I see the panel says to check the SWG cell and I did pull it and clean it properly. When I went to the panel to reset it it says to hit the "+" which isn't doing anything.
Is the reset just for the timer ? Will my SWCG still be functioning ? Is there a fix for the + button, a replacement circuit board or do I have to get the whole head/display unit ?

The + key just resets the nag timer. Your cell should work without the reset.

I would open up the cabinet and reseat the display board. That may fix the + key problem.

You can buy a replacement display panel - GLX-PL-LOC-P-4 (Display, Local, AquaPlus).

If you are handy you can try what is described in this thread...

Thanks for the link. I'll give tearing the panel apart and cleaning the contacts a try tomorrow. (y) Need to pick up some contact cleaner as my chemicals and tools are still up north. Will try to save the $360, ouch.
I know there is one setting that won't go all the way around and it's at zero. So fixing that "+" key needs to get done one way or the other.

Pulled the control unit out and disassembled it. There was corrosion on the contacts of the circuit board for the "up" button. Cleaned it up and reinstalled last night. Now it's intermittent but at least that's something. Will pull it apart again this evening and hopefully do a better job of cleaning and maybe try to swap the push button contact from one of the other buttons to the "up". Only thing I had to do was pick up a tool that had a T-6 or T-7 bit. The kit has both but I can't remember which size fits the six little screws that hold the PCB in place. I think it was the T-6

It's a T6 for those little screws holding the PCB to the case. Was a little more aggressive using a pencil eraser on the gold contacts for that button and kept at it until they shined. I was still gentle but worked on it longer and figured I had nothing to lose. Works great now. Maybe I'll finally break down and get a new variable speed motor to replace my one speed with the $$$ I saved from repairing the control.
