Coming to the end of my first season as a pool owner. The advice at TFP helped to make it a fun season. I’m going to close my pool and I’m not sure how much Polyquat 60 to use for my 28,000 gallon in ground pool. I’d appreciate any recommendations? I’ve read the posts that say to follow the manufacturer directions but I haven’t ordered any quarts yet so I’m not sure what it says in the bottle. I’m guessing 1, possibly 3 quarts but any help is appreciated, thanks.

Thanks yes. Just found the instructions for one brand that said max of 11oz per 10,000 gallons. So that would put me roughly at 1 quart. Thanks again.
At most, you should use 1.5 quarts. You are only looking to stall the algae until the water becomes real cold. If you are going to use the algaecide, allow your levels to drift down to around 5 ppm or the CYA/FC recommended levels. Thank you.
