Okay, I'm lazy and don't want to do math or figure it out. Is there anyplace I can just input my pump type and pool size and let it spit out how long I need to run my pump at various speeds and for how long at each speed?

Lazy in Georgia,

Tanks!
Robert

Pump speed and pump run time are simply a function of two needs:
1) skimming and filtering water
2) dispersing chemicals during addition and creation of free chlorine if using a SWCG

You can run your pump as little or as much as you want; only you can judge if you’re getting enough filtration.

Some people run 2 hours a day. Myself and many others run a VS pump on 1200-1400 rpm’s 24/7.

Robert, don't beat yourself up on this one. :hammer: As Reggie noted above it's quite easy. The link below will help, but basically run your pump on a low rpm/speed as long as you want to satisfy water surface skimming, heater, SWG flow switch, vacuum, etc. No need to be on a high speed unless you need to purge some air out of the system or a piece of equipment needs it to work effectively. If you're concerned about water turnover, don't be. It's basically irrelevant.
