Just had a quick question. When I close the skimmer return nothing seems to happen. Is there actually suction in the slimmer based on the pictures? It appears the jet shoots out the hole on the other side of the pool, but no suction. Just confused why there is a return for the slimmer.
You should have a weir door between the skimmer and the pool. It will lay down when water flows through the skimmer, and float to nearly vertical when the flow is off. It can be hard to see motion in the skimmer if the water is high.
You have something less common in your skimmer. I can’t see it through the ripples in the water though. A low water bypass or vacuum/cleaner connection? Normally there is just an open hole or two at the bottom with a basket over them.
I was more confused why there is a return for the skimmer when there is no suction. The picture with water has a jet shooting out a hole on the other side. No suction.
