Each Jandy valve has a little switch, 1 2 or off. I've seen someone use one to do this before. I've tried various combinations, but the water stubbornly remains!
How do I get my hot tub to drain?

You show a picture of the pool. Are you trying to drain the pool or hot tub?
First picture is correct, it will not return to HT.
Second picture shows no suction from the spa (left valve), and 50/50 from the skimmer and suction (cleaner) (right valve).
I think, if you reverse the left valve in the second picture is should drain from the HT and return to the pool.
