Hello. My wife wants a hot tub. I can not for the life of me make sense of Hot Tub Build Quality. I get the sense that Jacuzzi, BullFrog, Hot Springs are more high end. Then you have more mid range like CalSpa, Viking. Is there a big quality difference to account for the several thousand dollars difference???? thanks!

Hey PS and Welcome !! @RDspaguy isn’t a sales person but he had repaired hot tubs for 25 years so that makes his take on it even better IMHO

Do yourself a huge favor and buy your first tub used. By doing so, you can then see what you like, and what you don’t. So many people run out and buy a tub, for it not to get used, don’t like it, to small/big, etc...

+1 on buying used. We went that route on a 6 yo Sundance spa ELEVEN years ago. We've replaced the heater and repaired the outside a bit, but the interior shell is nearly perfect.

I agree on buying used for your first tub. New toy syndrome is quite common. I hear "never use it anymore" all the time.
There are differences, both in construction and warranty. Avoid CalSpas at all costs if shopping new, as well as thermospas. Not just because of product, but company ethics.
