We are new to owning a hot tub and my son has developed a rash with the chemicals we are using. I have the concentration levels right, based on the strip testing, however am looking for suggestions on a new product that is better for people with sensitive skin. I currently use Leisure time products. Appreciate the any insight.

Thanks!

Hi and welcome! Unfortunately you’ve discovered a common problem with using strips to test, they aren’t very accurate. Would recommend getting one of the Taylor based test kits recommended here as well as posting exactly what products have been put into the water. Many of the magic potions the stores sell do more harm than good.

Hey Z and Welcome !!!!

Its not the chemicals, it's being unsanitary that leads to bacteria / rashes.

Head over to the spa/ hot tub sub forum and up top is 2 stickies whether you'd like to learn how to use chlorine or bromine properly.
