Hayward t-cell 940 replacement

Hi all,
I have an aging, needing replacement Hayward t-cell940, but only have a 20,000 gallon pool, can I replace with a Hayward t-cell9 for 20,000 or do I need to get a t-cell15? I have an aqua pro 900

If you install a lower rated SWCG, you will need to run the pump twice as long.
Get the T15.
