Hayward Heater with HS code

My Hayward 350HDN pool heater is 6 years old. Last fall it started giving me the HS code which means the output water is over heating as I can tell by the boiling water that created rumbling sound then shuts down. I have tested the ohms per the manual on the temperature sensor so the next step is to replace the ICB. I ordered new from Hayward through Amazon and put the new board in and all I got was the standby ligh and no temperature readout. I read reviews on this board and one person said he had two bad ones in a row so I re- ordered and just pit the other new one in and have the same result. When Input the old one back it it has temp readout and fires up then overheats. Both replacements are identical to the board I have (Emerson) with the exception that the original is version 19 and the replacements version 20. I am about ready to throw in the towel and get a new one for 3199 delivered next week. Any thoughts? I know my water flow is good I put in a brand new filter, plus it would give the LO code.
