Hayward air relief valve

Hi All,
The air relief valve on my Hayward SwimClear Cartridge filter is leaking water. It is the small part on the top. I purchased a replacement on Amazon. I am having difficulty removing the old one since it is very tight. Any suggestions on what tool to use or what procedure to follow in order to take it off with my non-superhuman strength?

It's just tight. Just hold the base from spinning and give it the CCW twist.

Is this part just hand tightened or is there a tool for it?

Have never had one in my hand but judging from the picture there would be no reason to think otherwise.
