Hayward 1 HP powerflo is loose

My 1 hp pump is loose between the basket and the motor. It has always been loose since I bought it but now I am having a problem and wonder if the loose connection may be a cause. Is the loose connection normal?

Can you describe further what you mean by "loose"? Is the basket wobbling on the impeller assembly? Is the impeller assembly wobbling on the motor? A cellphone video would really help.

Basket wobbles a bit on the impeller assembly. I'll add a video when I get home
