So, was testing my NaCL level today. I've stained my sink in the past, so "should" have been more aware. Got this stuff all over my fingers, and cannot scrub it off. Mineral spirits or any other chemical to remove, or am I tattooed for life?

Until that layer of skin wears off. Kind of like voting in a third world country!!
Bummer, thats what I feared. the stains are a very ugly orange-brown on my fingers and thumbs. There should be a warning on the test kits, but I also should have known better.
It last a while. First few times I did it I didn't know what caused it.
Are the electronic tests for salt and ph reliable? I was looking to order reagents, but the battery-powered tests for ph and salt seem to get good ratings on A*, and with prime, it quick and cheap. Opinions vs. Taylor kids with the gnarly silver nitrate?

I have a Hayward salt tester, It was given to me. $180. It works great. And is accurate enough for me.
pH, if you get a good tester (~$100), calibrate often, and replace the probe as required, they also work pretty good.

You'll be fine. You haven't lived until you get undiluted lawn marker dye (for spraying lawn chemicals) on your hands. I did that once and spent a week looking like I'd knocked off a Wells Fargo.
Here are three methods that are supposed to remove silver nitrate.
Hydrogen peroxide, cyanide and Silvosol (thiourea).
Hydrogen peroxide is the only really safe solution.
Cyanide is crazy because it can dissolve through your skin and kill you.
Silvosol is unknown for safety. You will need to research it.
