They got it down in the hole and are finishing up some trenching for gas lines today.

Thanks, but I won't have any more of them for a bit. The GPS went offline on the drone and i crashed it into a pole, haha. They did finally get the pool completed though. I'm just waiting on the gas company to upgrade my meter, and some of the equipment to be checked (I'm not sure it was hooked up properly. I've always used photobucket for my pictures on forums, but it is not wanting to work with me, so I can't get any updated pics on here.

The 3 foot around the pool was supposed to have a rock salt finish. The guys used water softener salt instead, so the texture came out looking like the surface of the moon. I was really upset initially, but it's grown on me. I've still got to go back and chip out all the chunks that never dissolved.
I did the tile myself because my pool builder was only slightly better than worthless. It was my first time doing one, but it turned out pretty good. I used the silicone based adhesive and caulk. Man the caulking part is a nightmare. I only got part of it done, and need to finish it up before winter.
Oh yeah, we started out using the iron fencing on the north side, but realized pretty quick that we needed more of a wind break, so we went with the vinyl there as well. I also had them bring a building in, instead of building it on site to save a little money.

Thank you! After we had a few people over, we quickly realized we needed more spots to hang stuff. I found those metal straps at Home Depot for like 80 cents, brought them home and bent them up and spray painted them. Super easy and cheap!

Heck of a transformation. The whole project looks great! I dig the diamond pattern on the decking, and I personally like the effect the softener salt gave vs normal rock salt. The other pieces will likely dissolve in time, if theres no concern about side effects of them remaining until it naturally passes. Nice job on the tile, too! The pergola, open fencing along the back, lighting, etc all came together great.
I was JUST looking at fire pits yesterday, as the plumbers were gonna do a side job for me. Builder wanted $1800 to run a gas line 50' for me, to just a stub out then I'd build my own pit (using the exact same burner plate you got, that site had a lot of great options!) but the plumber wanted $1380 to do it! Instead of being $2500 into a fire pit, I'm just gonna go ham on a wood burning one using leftover travertine and tile from the pool build so it matches.
Your oasis really came together fantastic.

We wanted a tv back there, but with our setup, I didn't really have a way to hang one without it being in the way most of the time. I looked all over the internet to find a motorized fold up mount. I found some, but they wanted an arm an a leg for them, so I just made my own.
Also added some sonos speakers so we can crank up the tunes.

Thank you for all the kind words. I felt like it was a little touch and go for a while, but the end product was everything we wanted. Yeah, running the gas line was not cheap. I had to come all the way around the house over to the pool heater, and branch off at the fire pit. I love real wood burning pits, but met my wife in the middle on the gas one after i found a decent burner.
