Hello,

I have a 30-foot diameter above-ground pool (fresh H2O). I hate spending perfect summer days going to the pool store to pick things up. What chemicals etc., should I always have on hand?
Thank you,
Dusty

Liquid chlorine and muriatic acid. The only other things you might need at some point are baking soda, and/or borax. But those are much less common and can easily be grabbed at the grocery store / Walmart if you need them.

Do you have a Menards near you? They have pretty much anything you’ll ever need for your pool aside from equipment.

Don’t stock too much LC as it degrades fairly quickly. I used to buy a month worth of LC at a time. And keep it on a cool dark place.

The only pool chemicals I have are liquid chlorine and some baking soda because I just raised my TA. I've never had to buy or add muriatic acid. 🤷‍♀️

I keep some LC around… just used some Today (after small drain/refill). Have some Borax (because it was cheaper to buy a box), some Cal-Hypo as backup of the backup, MA, Stabilizer (got couple buckets at last year’s price). If needed I steal some backing soda from the pantry (fairly small pool) or get some at the grocery store. I do have some Trichlor for trips, but with a SWG I don’t know if I’ll ever use it.

I also have a box with algaecide, clarifier, MPS, sequestering agent, dry acid and some other Crud. It has a giant red label saying hazardous waste. Need to remember to take to the hazardous waste collection day…
