I'm looking into using a liquid pool cover to help reduce evaporation as part of taking steps to reduce water usage during the severe drought in California. Marin County is actually suggesting using these in lieu of a physical cover. I'm not looking to these for a heat-saving solution, just evaporation reduction.
I've read a lot of positive reviews for these liquid covers to reduce water evaporation but I've also read some reviews that say they can clog up cartridge filters. What are folks' experience with any negative effects on cartridge filters?
If I don't like it, how do I get rid of it, does it just deteriorate on it's own or do I need to take any action to remove it?
Are there specific brands that TFP folks prefer?
Thanks
Brad
