This is a post for the benefit of any future DIYers considering this.
If you have a pool without a good shallow or step area for teaching kids to swim, you might find yourself wanting a swim platform. I do, for my AGP, and I stalled for a year thinking this should be something easy to DIY. But the hangup will be finding the right decking material.
I gave in and ordered an Aqua Creek this year, and that's ok I am happy with the time saved on trying to DIY it now, to a similar quality.

Anyway, here's their secret: It's a product called Titan Deck that's normally used for making docks. It's not easy to find, but their distributor network is mostly dock builders and maybe you can get them to sell you some.
