My name is Jim, live in the San Diego, CA area. Sadly when the original owners were bought out by Pivot Pool and they decided to "Improve" the NX and call it Ariel the product went to pot. Have returned 2 Ariels for replacement under warranty, the last 2 they sent also failed quickly and they said to just keep them for parts??? Promised a new "Improved" 2024 model in December 2023 if I wanted to wait until April/May -- Got that supposedly 2024 improved model in late April and it worked pretty well until August 2nd. When I sent an email to ask about replacement under the "Extended Warranty" that I had been using to communicate with customer service my email was bounced, no web site and nobody answers the published phone number. Stumbled around looking for answers, expecting that they had gone belly up when I found this site and the confirmation that they had closed. Now I have 3 inoperable Ariels and 1 inoperable NX, anybody have manuals to disassemble and possibly getting one working model out of the 3.

Not sure what this is but appears to be some sort of solar powered robot cleaner. You got 4 already? What is the definition of insanity again?

Most solar pool products are garbage. What is wrong with your existing manual skimmers?

Ouch, harsh…

I had all the models of the Solar Breeze. I think at this point just cut your losses. The current solar skimmer we are all buying is the Betta SE Plus. If you want to save a few $$$ just get the SE. But I really recommend the SE Plus. Their service is excellent. Buy the 3 year warranty.

Hi Jim, For your ariels, remove the tray and flip the unit over. A 1.5mm allen wrench and needle nose pliers will take off the rear paddles. A torx bit will take off all the screws, including the ones mounting the motors. Do not bother removing the screws holding the orange corner bumpers. Cables are all near the back of the unit, open it like a book. Take a picture with your camera so you can remember the cable connections, all though there aren't that many. If your motors are shot, see if water got into them. If so, you may be able to open them up, clean them out, and replace the front bearing with: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DFY5052?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details. I used a appropriately sized socket from a 1/4 inch socket set to drive the new bearing back in.
I've managed to break the plastic housing on my ariel after repairing it for the third time. You interested in selling 1 or 2 of your broken ones for parts?

Hello Dr. Frankenstein - Since water intrusion is the primary problem with the motors, how do you seal the shafts to prevent it?
