Cya at closing

Hi. Im about ready to close my pool. My cya has been at 40 but today tested at 50. Do I need to bring it up before raising my fc to close? I'm having someone come tomorrow to blow out lines, but I forgot I need to let fc drift back down after raising so will have to reschedule for later. How many days will it take to get down enough to cover...thoughts? Thanks in advance.

KB, no need to wait on anything. A CYA of 40-50 is just fine for closing. You can increase the CYA next spring for your SWG. Increase the FC to around 15-20 and you should be just fine.
