Tested my CYA this morning, and it is coming down. Current level is 60. My question is, since we are heading into fall, getting cooler temps, lower sun angle, etc, should I refrain from adding more stabilizer, since the SWCG will be going dormant relatively soon, or should I bring it back up to 70 for the next month or so while the SWCG is still in service? My thought was to let it go, which would allow me to use slightly lower FC targets over the winter.

You can let it go. Do monitor your FC so it does not fall below target range.

Remember to follow the NON-SWCG table once you stop using the SWCG for your chlorine additions.

My demand falls off a cliff this time of year. The dog days of August can stretch a week or two into September but I’ll be down to 20% production real soon either way. And 10% a week or two after that.
