Culligan Water Softener Salt

I have a bunch of Culligan Water Softener Salt (~7 years old) from a system no longer used at my office. Is this appropriate to use in my pool?

Bag says Solar Extra Course Sodium Chloride. Looking on the Culligan website it says: "Our high purity solar salt contains up to 99.6% pure salt. Evaporated naturally by the sun and wind, these solar crystals have a white, opaque appearance and a low insoluble content "

As long as there are no other additives, it is fine. Salt does not go bad. No expiration date!
